Baloney - a million people out there worked as hard, didn't settle, had a goal, desire and all those LinkedIn cliches but they didn't succeed. Born at the wrong time (seen today's job market for graduates) or in the wrong country or the wrong parents, had one gene go bad, etc. Luck.

It argues that the sharp rise in childlessness is usually triggered by an emergency: the '73 oil embargo in Japan, the South Korean currency crisis, the 2008 financial collapse everywhere. Once the pattern starts, he says, nobody has been able to reverse it.

Birthgap - Childless World PART 1 (English Version)
YouTube video by Birthgap Birthgap - Childless World PART 1 (English Version)

This video says data shows the "birth gap" in developed countries is entirely due to an increase in number of women having no children. The average family with kids has the same number of children, on average, as they've had for decades.

A city on Mars : can we settle space, should we settle space, and have we really thought this through? | WorldCat.org "Earth is not well. Granite Geek: Concerns about wildfires are returning to New Hampshire. Just ask Henniker. Compound interest in banks is fun. Compound disasters in our surroundings, not so much.

New Hampshire: At least we don't have to worry about wildfires, like they do out west.
Climate Change: Oh, yeah?

I like My Fair Lady but the key with an audience is that they have to know the song well to enjoy the parody & it's not as popular

I write parody lyrics to musicals for local high school fundraisers. (Feeds my childhood desire to write for Mad magazine) West Side Story is the best target except maybe for Wizard of Oz.

Don't be scornful - I have long thought that literature lacks enough well-written depictions of workplaces and everyday occupations.

Having said that: yeah, Updike and Cheever haven't aged well.

Probably never for cars but it seems to be a hit with vehicles smaller (scooters) and larger (real trucks, not pickups)
