That control is rad! But what's being proposed is a control that will cut out any image post that doesn't have alt text added (and is, by a definition, low quality) from our feeds.

That's an excellent idea! In the short term it would def work, and in the long term it would provide an incentive for high quality posters who did get skipped to write alt text.

....to REALITY'
The gazettal of the Springwood Environmental Park was
the end result of years of concerted effort by individuals, community groups and the Logan City Council.
The area was originally a Quarry reserve. In 1979 the land was divided into an Education and Recreation reserve under
' the Education Department and a Park and Recreation Reserve under Logan City Council. The Queensland Electricity Commission held an Electrical Works reserve.
In 1973, legislation was enacted which provided for the
creation of Environmental Parks. This area became the subject of interest from a variety of groups. On one hand it was proposed to develop the area for housing. On the other, many individuals, groups and the Council, became increasingly determined that the area should be preserved.
In the 1980's a series of actions developed the proposal for reservation. Community groups were formed and these made repeated representations. The Council in turn placed these before the Government. Individuals and groups
conducted surveys, prepared draft management plans, carried out investigations and above all developed community awareness and action. Council supported these actions by commissioning the preparation of Management Plans, by negotiation with the Education and Electricity authorities and by continuing to press for declaration.
Finally, in December 1990, the area was declared an Environmental Park under the trusteeship of the Logan City Council.
Since gazettal the Council has prepared a Management Plan, developed tracks and signs, encouraged proper public use and support, and restored and protected the area. With continued public support, the park will achieve its vision.

At one point the track drops steeply down the side of the george via these steps. They obviously provide such an athletic challenge going up that commercial fitness groups have been banned!
