I often think of that story that Paul McCartney tells about John Lennon insisting ‘the movement you need is on your shoulder’ should stay in ‘Hey Jude’, when it started as a placeholder lyric. Doesn’t make sense, but absolutely does also.

Make a list of song titles without self-curating, then work on the ones that resonate. Do a wild and loose first draft using phonetic non-words when you get stuck. Get more critical on subsequent edits.
