both of those were voluntary moves that the law does not directly touch.

#TikTok is back online thanking Trump. Seemingly gearing up for integration with Meta. Don't go back, don't reward them for this.
Cheeto isn't in office yet, HE hasn't done anything. TikTok can operate because Biden said he won't enforce the ban.

Let’s be clear: the whole thing is a con. TikTok could’ve kept the app rolling on Sunday but by shutting down & mentioning Trump, he gets to be the savior. One of many examples of companies & billionaires bowing down.

1) Trump initiated this ban on August 7, 2020 with an Executive Order
2) Our leaders can’t get anything done to actually protect us, but they were able to ban TikTok

Just a reminder of some of the context around the TikTok ban: In 2020, Trump tried to ban it via executive order a couple months after K-pop fans used it to organize fake signups to Trump’s Tulsa rally, which led him to publicly overestimate how large the crowd size would be.
