This process has taught me that police will go to greater lengths to protect themselves than they will to protect victims and vulnerable women. I simply do not believe that police can be trusted with the safety of women and I think we need a new service that actually protects us.

I can't help but wonder, how much did Met Police Commissioner's Rowley and Dick know about DCI James Mason's predatory behaviour? Were they covering up for him, their former Staff Officer?

Exclusive: Serving senior officer speaks out about misogyny in policing Lizzie Jones, a serving officer, has spoken exclusively to Channel 4 News about misogyny in policing.

After hearing about my case against DCI Mason, serving officer CI Lizzie Jones came forward with her own awful experiences with him. Lizzie suspects that her complaint about him was "deliberately lost" before it could be used as evidence in my case.

My judicial review was heard at the High Court in May 2023 but I had to return 6 months later when it came to light that the Met Police Commissioner had failed to disclose the existence of other grim allegations against DCI James Mason. They told me I was the only one.

Des O'Connor's daughter loses case against Met Police Kristina O'Connor received numerous inappropriate messages after she reported an attempted robbery.

The Court of Appeal found the panel had not provided adequate analysis nor reasons for their decision and this amounted to an error of law. This comes after Justice Swift had initially said the disciplinary process was 'both reasonable and appropriate".

Over the moon for @tarantina.bsky.social for winning her appeal against the Met police misconduct panel for allowing DCI James Mason to keep his job after being found guilty of sexually harassing her. She was a victim of the crime and the Met. Vindicated after 4 years

Don't think people realise how much your life is on hold when fighting a judicial review. You are just in limbo and have no power--- you've basically used up all of your agency in getting the case heard. In solidarity with @tarantina.bsky.social and so so glad she kept fighting for what was right
