Heat pumps are the most efficiency heating technology ever invented.
That's because they harvest, compress and transport pre-existing heat from the air, the ground or the water.
Compared to a gas boiler heat pumps deliver ~4x more heat for each unit of energy inout.

Presumed Liability Legislation | Washington Bike Law
Washington Bike Law is working with others to pass presumption of liability laws for drivers who collide with pedestrians or bicyclists.
Prompted by something discussed in Ep 3 of #PedalHub (~18:15, Amber Dallman asked if there was something other states were doing) - Washington state is exploring #PresumedLiability.

First, the frogs died. Then people got sick.
An emerging area of research is uncovering hidden links between nature and human health.
In Central America, scientists found a spike in malaria cases after the fungus arrived. As frogs died, there were fewer tadpoles to eat mosquito larvae; more mosquitoes resulted in a fivefold increase in malaria cases: wapo.st/3LHtdAj (gift). We allow extinctions at our peril. π

Hereβs something thatβs really important for everyone to understand.
If we design our cities just for cars, they fail everyone, including drivers.
If we design our cities with many great CHOICES in how to get around, they work better for everyone, including drivers.
Spread the word.

Forced car dependency robs society of any chance at financial freedom. America doesn't have a "love obsession with cars", they simply have not been given a choice.

Not all delivery trucks are justifiable in cities. We can create jobs, boost sustainable transportation, and create safer streets with better infrastructure through cargo bike logistics.
The solutions, designs, and tools already exist. All we seem to lack is the political will to implement them.

As with most places, we've allowed cars to crush our tiny islands of Trinidad & Tobago. We don't expect everyone to ride a bicycle for transport, but we would like the population to have viable alternatives when it comes to travelling around a tiny place.
