Watched “Frankenstein” on Netflix tonight. And, I will probably watch again tomorrow night and the night after that just to catch all the nuances. I had avoided all spoilers and I’m so glad I did. Worth the wait. Well done, sir. @realgdt.bsky.social

This week I learned that the foam stuff around the door is called a “kerf”. My door now has a new one. Piece of cake. 💅🏻

Regardless of what they think, not everything revolves around trump. I’m on Bluesky talking about the weather and 🏈 and 🏀 and just everyday little things. It’s nice to not be bombarded by toxic dialogue. Y’all need to touch some grass. There is life outside of politics.

We are doing a seriously scaled back Xmas this year. It’s going to be a lot more food and fellowship than presents. Keeping all we would have spent in reserve in case the family needs help before spring. I hate this.

I don’t get it. Why listen to this guy every day if his House isn’t open and he’s not working. Why bother? He’s not doing anything. Just speechifies for the cameras. Just ignore him until he shows up for work. His vacation opinions are useless.

That would be an awesome improvement over I’m on…guess! 😁

Except for a trip to the lumber company, I’m home today. Oh yeah. Catching up on the three weeks of laundry I didn’t have time to do. Fun times.

Yeah. The tire sensors are a pain. My least favorite new feature on automobiles.

Getting ready to replace the gas fire logs with a gas heater that is nowhere near as charming when lit but does the job it was designed to do. The log unit requires batteries with no manual override and it EATS batteries. Not worrying with that all winter. Nope.

My tire sensor on the truck went haywire yesterday. I went old school—Got out and kicked the tire. Yep. Faulty sensor. Trip to tire shop in my future. 🛻

(For the record, I never go anywhere without a tire gauge. 😎)

Survived yet another birthday. Yay me! Got my first nutcracker of the year so the Xmas season is officially open at my house. Time to pack up all the spookies and bring out all the sparkles. ✨

Yes. Safety matters. But my daughter had turned the entire front of the house into a Halloween fantasyland. I felt bad for her. She felt much better last night when I told her we would throw out all the candy to the crowd at the Xmas parade. It’s still treating the kids. 🥰

I have been tasked with taking a trailer and turning it into a snow queen realm by the end of November. I need spray paint. Yep. Lots of spray paint. 😳

One knock. Two kids. That’s it. That’s the sum total of trick or treaters who came to our door this year. Sigh.

Halloween starts at noon in this house with the coming of the urchins who need to be decked out before daylight trick or treat on Main Street begins. My usual plan of hyping them all up on sugar and sending them home has been thwarted by plans for a sleepover. Drat.

Oklahoma has a population of plus/minus 4 million and approximately 685,000 are on SNAP benefits.

We also have a rainy day fund, or so they say.
