Why isn’t Australian media covering the fact that Donald Trump’s blockade is creating a humanitarian crisis in Cuba?

ABC gave Trump hours of coverage yesterday, but an entire nation suffering from his actions gets nothing.

Australian media isn’t covering this but what’s happening in Cuba is dreadful. Trump signed an executive order cutting off Cuba’s last oil supply. Ten million people are paying with their lives. Sewage systems are failing, food is rationed, it’s getting worse.

The PM calling Grace Tame, a woman fighting for the safety of children, “difficult” is completely unwarranted. 

Labelling women as difficult won’t silence us. It won’t stop us speaking truth to power. 

Next time try “unbreakable” or “warrior” or “fierce”, Prime Minister.

Many still have this worry of relatives going into hospital and not coming out due to their medical risk. Covid infections are still ongoing with no testing, incorrect PPE or no PPE. Nothing in place to prevent airborne transmission, poor vaccine access, no lessons learnt.
