Today The Plaza celebrates 25 years since it re-opened as a Super Cinema and Variety Theatre! We're so lucky to have this in #Stockport and it was great to have a tour yesterday to learn more about the building. It brought back many memories of seeing the panto as a kid โค๏ธ

Picked up some Lib Dem stats at conference. Some of these surprised me (especially given media coverage):
1. The Liberal Democrats now control more councils than the Conservative Party
2. In May's local elections in England, the LDs elected more councillors than either Labour or the Tories.

For too long, weak regulation has let the gambling industry profit from addiction, debt, and family breakdown.
Liberal Democrats will hold the gambling industry to account and put people before profits, so that gambling in the UK can be safe, fair, and free from harm.

Youth work changes lives and makes a real difference in communities across the UK.
It gives young people a place to belong, build skills, and believe in themselves.
But over the last decade, weโve seen too many youth centres close their doors and youth workers leave.

We donโt talk about it much, but we are a nation of carers.
The answers to the care crisis canโt just be about tinkering with the formal systems social care as they exist. We must, as a country ask some more fundamental questions about how we can better support families.

Democracy matters - and it cannot be taken for granted.
Our voting system leaves swathes of people feeling powerless and fuels disillusionment, which can have dangerous consequences.
