what a nice surprise to have my song “Just A Little Bit” nominated for an Ontario Folk Music Award for Song Of The Year. The song is a co-write with guitarist Blair Michael Hogan. Congratulations to all the nominees, I’m hugely humbled to be in the company of such an amazing group of artists.

Sep 1 is always a meaningful day for me because it's the day that I quit drinking. It's now been 14 years since I woke up and decided it was time to make a change. If you’re struggling with your own demons know that you can make whatever change you're wanting to make. It really is one day at a time.

I've been watching some of the US Open and I notice that a lot of the players blow on their fingers before they serve. I think I'm gonna start doing that before I play every song from now on. I mean if it works for them it's GOTTA help improve my guitar playing right ...

I’m playing this little festival on August 23 in Appleton. I’ve been doing some writing and have been attempting to memorize the lyrics to a few new songs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to play a few of them.

I am such a huge fan of Patty Griffin. I had the song Useless Desires on repeat for three months years ago when I was going through a tough time and it changed how I write lyrics. I am loving her brand new release Crown Of Roses. Its dark. Its beautiful. My only complaint is there are only 8 songs.

random thought. I used the Canada Dental Plan for the first time today. as a self employed musician I have to say it’s pretty swell to have dental benefits now. dental health is really important for overall health and I’m thankful it’s covered. Canada rocks 🇨🇦

I love playing house concerts. and in the summertime if the weathers nice we play outdoors. I’m not sure how many house concerts I’ve played over the past 20 years but it’s a lot. I’m playing in Brockville on July 10. hopefully it’s a nice night so we’re outside 😎
