I’ve always wondered, has Chris Bellinger been interviewed at all, or even photographed? He’d be fascinating to listen to since he was behind BBC Saturday mornings for over 30 years!

Exactly! Ideally, I would've wanted Eccleston to have his own subplot in the 50th, say for example meeting the Cybermen somehow. I also wanted it to be movie length and...well, there's a lot I would've wanted to be honest but there we go.

I never liked the concept of a suddenly unknown Doctor when McGann would’ve been perfectly good. To see the contrast between his first appearance in 1996 and his last in 2013 would’ve been palpable. No disrespect to John Hurt, but I’d rather he played The Moment (or basically the Doctor’s father).

We’ve been saying this for the last 20 years. He should’ve been in the War Doctor’s place in the 50th anniversary, as good as John Hurt was. I wanted McGann, Eccleston, Tennant and Smith, and yes, I’m still sad we never got that.

Channel 4 did their own list in 2001, and while I’ve found part 2 of the show, I can’t find part 1 (I know the list itself, just don have the programme), but would love a copy.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social Here's the problem with the BBC. They put the announcement of Hannah Spencer under the Manchester and Local News headings, and that's fine. Except Reform's is under Politics and makes the front page. Why isn't Hannah's candidacy front page news?

There was one episode where he went back further to Victorian London, and also one where someone from the far future visits.
