I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for worst case scenario..

So I guess if you're expecting to buy anything that uses memory or flash in the next 3 years, do it now if you can, or else expect higher prices if you wait? That's what it feels like and it sucks.

Also expect this year to be when first parties run out their already-secured-price supplies of memory and flash. So I guess next year we'll start seeing (more) price hikes on hardware? And game consoles is one thing.. I'm rather concerned about practically all tech getting hit by this

Haven't seen a lot of Switch 2 releases on cart and the memory and NAND shortage ain't gonna help. Expecting to see a lot more game key cards.

OK thanks for the info. I did the whole battery cycle thing once, so I'll try doing it a full three times and hopefully it will take. Been running a game at full brightness for like 2+ hours now while the battery meter is still showing 1% heh.

Anyone ever had to recalibrate their Nintendo Switch battery indicator? The system goes from showing 100% to 1% in about 20 minutes, but remains at 1% while the system continues to run games for the next few hours. Tried the recalibration trick once so far and didn't really work.

Dead horse at this point about the pen on the right being finnicky, unreliable, and worse for productivity. I also think it's funny that the image, certainly made by AI, couldn't get the perspective of the ink sliders right either.

Disc rot is a thing but I feel like well-kept discs (in cases, in low humidity, mild temp environments) should keep them going for quite a while. I s'pose.
But yea digital backups+maintenance is ultimately the safest route.

I have to wonder about the accuracy of the hygrometer showing 70%. I have a pair of hygrometers in my office, next to each other, and they can sometimes read 4-5% different.
The filament placed in the dryer is reading 70%, surely that doesn't mean its desicant-filled box it just came from was 70%?
