exactly, before it was a "miracle it even boots", now it's a choice between graphics mode mostly.

lately when someone tells me Pragmata graphics on Switch 2 aren’t as good as the other consoles and missing raytracing etc, I send this picture; this is a big part of why I’m impressed, and also visual gap is smaller now.

Zendesk ticket systems hijacked in massive global spam wave People worldwide are being targeted by a massive spam wave originating from unsecured Zendesk support systems, with victims reporting receiving hundreds of emails with strange and sometimes alarming subject lines.

PSA for those that don't know. Zendesk ticket systems were hacked and are being used to send spam, so my recommendation is don't click any links coming from Zendesk just in case. General rule we should never click any links but I know it's hard to remember 100% of time

Yeah Remake is the one with the scarier atmosphere. rE7 the scarier one but mostly due to jumpscares and higher gfx realism

Interesting how FF7 Remake on Switch 2 is making people see S2 as a valid option for AAA games moving forward (I know there's more games), because back in the day it was FF7 PS1 that shifted a lot of people attention from Nintendo N64 to PlayStation (again I know there was more).

In terms of bug fixing I also want to give a shoutout to GameMaker 2 team, a few times they were patient enough with my multiple rambles on bugs that would be easy to dismiss “seems like game bug but was actually engine” and were even blocking game releases. By not giving up they found & fixed it. 🙏

Code Veronica I played very little, first time was in Dreamcast that someone had me play for a weekend, years later I picked a used copy but never went back to play. RE3 I found nemesis hard but this was years ago. Gotta give it a go some other time xD

first RE game was released 30 years ago, CAPCOM really has been making a great job with this franchise. From this list the only ones I’m yet to finish is RE3 PS1 and Code Veronica.

Super Mario World on a CRT is peak gaming! I rarely use it but I’ve been trying to keep it alive, this is where I played most of my childhood-teen games all the way up to Xbox 360 (Gears!) so it’s special.

IIRC I saw some videos of that and it was plyable at 720p with decent settings at 30FPS, but there's probably plenty videos online about that

Finally played Resident Evil 4 Remake, clocked a save with 20h, took my time. A great remake, honestly only “fault” is I played OG version and remember some cut content and a few characters that feel a bit downgraded. But many improvements. All versions are some of the best game cover art ever.

Those charges represent your files. But over time, even without use, the electrons stored in these cells can leak. That slow leak is enough to corrupt your data. According to JEDEC standards, consumer-grade SSDs are only required to retain data for one year when stored at 87 degrees Fahrenheit. Higher temperatures accelerate charge leakage. This means that if your SSD sits in a warm room, you're basically cooking your files. Enterprise-grade SSDs have a shorter span of three months after unplugging. This phenomenon isn't new, but it's often misunderstood. Many assume solid-state means stable forever, but in reality, SSDs are more like batteries than safes. TIL that SSDs can lose data if left unplugged for long periods of time (only required to hold data up to 1 year), unlike HDDs which as long as the material holds it can take years.

Tried Pragmata DEMO on Switch 2 and it's crazy how it plays & looks, side by side with my PC I can spot differences of course, but honestly it's almost "they're the same picture". Hair is the standout, but RE4R also has complex hair not running everywhere. Realistic hair is still a bottleneck in CG.
