Absolutely appalling EPA statement on canceling $20 million that would have helped protect these communities.

$$ context: we could have done this 1000 times with the $20 billion US taxpayer dollars bailing out Argentina.

Why Trump loves 'Evita,' and what it says about his presidency A look at President Donald Trump's love of Evita, the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

How much of Trump's interest in Argentina comes from being an Evita super fan? I'm not even kidding.

Pritzker and Democrat governors need to authorize their law enforcement to hold ICE accountable for unlawful use of force. They absolutely have the right.

How much more terror do people have to experience at the hands of Trump's Gestapo?

-Today, Prince Andrew gave up his royal title because of his ties with the child-rapist, Jeffrey Epstein.

-Tomorrow, millions will be protesting against a slobbery, abhorrent man with ties to Epstein, who Republicans think should be king.

Funny, how the "No Kings" protesters were "elderly white hippies" in August (per Stephen Miller), but are "pro-Hamas terrorists and violent criminals" in October (per Karoline Leavitt).

It's *almost* as if this regime makes its shameless lies up as it goes along . . .

So, I have to say — as members of Congress go, Adam Smith is about as run of the mill as there is (used to be). He’s sensible, compromises, believes in bipartisan work, believes evidence, thoroughly studies material for his committee work.

Seeing quotes like this from him is… deeply unnerving. /1

A tweet from Barchart reads: “U.S. Housing Market has reached its most unaffordable level in history” followed by two siren emojis. Below the text is a chart titled “U.S. Home Price History: 1890 to 2025,” showing inflation-adjusted home prices over time. The line graph tracks steady or moderate fluctuations from 1890 through the 1990s, then a steep rise leading to the 2006 housing bubble, a sharp drop afterward, and a dramatic spike again reaching a new peak labeled “2025 Bubble.” The chart indicates that 2025 marks the highest inflation-adjusted home price index in recorded history.

There will be kids, and dogs, and signs, and probably a lot of frog motifs.

A vintage black-and-white illustration from the January 1963 issue of Popular Science shows a method for disposing of used engine oil. In the image, a hand is seen pouring dark, used engine oil from a rectangular container into a hole in the ground that has been filled with fine gravel. The oil flows into the center of the gravel-filled hole. An inset diagram in the bottom-right corner of the image provides a top-down view labeled "HOLE FILLED WITH GRAVEL." Below the illustration is a caption with instructions:

"Disposing of used engine oil can be a problem. Solution: Dig a hole in the ground with a posthole digger and fill it with fine gravel. Then pour in the oil. It will be absorbed into the ground before your next change. Cover the spot with soil."

I'm dismayed that many proposals for CO₂ removal involve digging a hole and burying organic matter. But I guess that's how we've always treated waste.

660,000 Californians will be priced out of health insurance and many more will have to make a decision between paying rent, buying groceries, and having health insurance. It’s not okay.

I talked about the urgency of extending the ACA tax credits with Paging America.

It costs ~$70 to produce a year’s supply of insulin.

Yet, the average annual cost of insulin went from $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016 to $18,000 in 2025. A 25,714% markup. That isn’t inflation or supply chain—It’s corporate greed.

Now—California will sell insulin for $11. Make this nationwide!
