Every activated Guardsman has a family, a job, school, or something that they are leaving to do their duty.

It’s one thing when it’s a war… or a real mass civil disturbance, which those only last a few days.

But to rip these people from their lives for a show… is awful.

Some of our leaders in Washington need to head “back to school” to educate themselves about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines.

The road to authoritarianism is littered with people telling you you’re overreacting.

Two things can be true:

1) The President has legal authority over the D.C. police and the D.C. National Guard that he doesn't have *anywhere else* in the country; &

2) Even if this doesn't set a legal precedent, it sets an ominous *political* precedent for pretextually overriding local government.

So, no national guard on January 6th, but definitely on August 11th. Makes total sense.

First it was troops in L.A., sent to provoke and assault peaceful protesters under the banner of “immigration enforcement.” Now it’s troops in our capital to disappear the homeless. See the pattern? Sooner or later, the monster comes for us all.

If you are a US citizen of Latin descent, do not let ICE bully you into not voting in the midterm elections. Remember who is currently in power and what he is doing. Remember the unconstitutionality, the depravity and cruelty, the terror, Trump's crimes against humanity, against you.

VOTE.
