the vet thinks Racha’s shoeing is what’s making him lame and I think she’s right and I’m so angry at myself for not seeing it sooner

the same woman messaged my friend after giving her notice that she “was t going to find better care anywhere else” in the meantime I found 5 stalls yesterday where they “forgot to fill the water”

crazy part is it wasn’t the BO, it was some who USED to board with us but lost her horse over the summer. she just still hangs around. such a weird thing to go after me like that.

also I can’t imagine pushing 70 trying to ruin a 20-something year olds career because I was MAD MY HORSE WAS LEFT WITHOUT WATER 5+ TIMES

a client at the barn I’m leaving reached out to where I’m going to saying I start barn drama except that “drama” is me being upset about my horse being left with no water and little turnout…

I’ve actually been crying all morning lol we move Wednesday

racha would go lame right before I move him to the barn/program I’ve wanted him in since I got him

found three paddock waters bone dry this morning too… I get help is hard to find but my BO allowing that to constantly happen is insane to me

funny how I have my notice and now all the sudden they’re asking me about extending my horses turnout and actually checking his water outside… nice try but the damage is already done my friend

Although current BO did it to herself. She doesn’t give me enough hours, I’ve found my horse with no water in his field more than once, and I’ve been asking for two months to have him be put with a pair/group and there’s always an excuse why she can’t.

That’s what I’m expecting. I was just given a great opportunity at an eventing barn in the area that can help me expand my career much more than my current situation can. I’d be dumb not to take it but I worry so much about how my current BO is going to handle it.

I wish leaving barns didn’t need to be so stressful. I shouldn’t be worried about telling an owner I found a better opportunity. At the end of the day it’s a BUSINESS clients come and go all the time, quit expecting boarders to stay forever especially when your care is lackluster.

It is. The employee in question was asking me why I go out everyday to give my horse his vitamin e syringe and my biggest regret is not telling her that I don’t trust her to actually do it instead of saying I just want the excuse to see him daily which is also true 🤠

I’m getting to that point. I just worry it’s going to happen again 😭

I’m getting really mad because all my BO does is complain about her full time worker but won’t actually do anything about it even with me making it clear I’d take over. I’m honestly starting to casually look elsewhere which sucks because I don’t wanna put my horse through another move.

barn work isn’t for if you just want a paycheck it’s for if you actually give a shit about the animals in your care!!!!

I swear to god I’m going to fight someone the next time I find racha in the field with an empty water trough. I get help is hard to find but when I’m CONSTANTLY finding horses with no water outside that’s a FUCKING PROBLEM!!!!

I think the best advice I could give to anyone in the horse world is to avoid people who only tell you what you want to hear

I am so incredibly disappointed to learn that equine affaire has booked Isidro and Amber Espinoza as featured clinicians this year, they are the scum of the mustangs community. Wondering if they even considered the allegations that came out about them this year. Disgusting.
