I just use the machine name instead of the ip address, so for me it's http://jellyserver:port number instead of ip addresss:port number, which is honestly way easier to remember anyway

It's actually super easy. Add the server and whatever you want to use for remote access to your Tailscale device list, and as long as it's running on both you're good to go, no exit nodes or anything required.

I'm running Jellyfin (free, open-source) on a small pc I bought secondhand on ebay. And if you use something like Tailscale (free for small-scale personal use) you can even access it from meshed devices off your local network. Building your library is oddly satisfying. 😂

*raises hand* Quilter here! Ummm cannot emphasize enough how important pressing well is to your project! Personally I like a dry iron used with one of those misting spray bottles, and if you've got a clapper use the heck out of it. Idk about general advice, but if you've got any questions hit me up!
