It's been a while since we experienced such a prolonged period of cold weather, and this snow isn't going anywhere soon. It was -7.5°c when I arrived in Bakewell this morning.

Surely Ed Davey is right here? Either the UK uses formal diplomatic channels to silence Trump’s goon or it will go on for ages, chiselling away at all the positives in the UK/US relations. And the UK needs the force of being a European power in its relationships with the US.
