Tax the rich.
An Exit Tax taxes individuals when they leave or remove assets from a country.
Many countries have them including Canada, USA, Germany and France.
The UK doesn't.
It should.
I don't resent poor people who use food stamps to buy another soft drink.
I resent rich people who take away the funds for food stamps to buy another yacht.

The government has launched the strategy which will see Β£9bn invested in houses for armed forces personnel & families.
It will see 40k homes modernised, refurbished or rebuilt.
A further 100k new homes will be built on MOD land, for both military & civilian families.
Winter fuel payments should be unnecessary. The gas supply giants should not be able to rip everyone off and make such huge profits.

"That was absolutely crucial because this train was scheduled to be travelling through Huntingdon station on the tracks with no platform at 125mph." "It didn't stop in the middle of nowhere, which would have been very difficult." Calder thinks this was handled in the "safest possible way" thanks to the "incredible professionalism from the driver and the police". Train drivers are trained on how to take appropriate action, he adds,
Next time someone tells you that train drivers "just push buttons" show them this from the BBC

This govt believes everyone has the right to live in a safe home, protected from exploitation and malpractice. This new Act delivers on that.
What does the Renters Rights Act mean for renters in #Battersea?

Striking to hear a senior Government minister in Wes Streeting clearly condemning Sarah Pochin's racism and the wider spread of racism across the UK, while defending the contribution of migrants to our country. Feels like a long time since we've heard a government minister speak like that

26.10.2025 10:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think everyone was surprised by the result of the referendum. However, the vote was only advisory, in no way was it binding and there were no rules as to how large the percentage of "leave" or "remain" should be to make it so. The Tories accepted it was the "will of the people" and ran with it.
