Had a great time worshipping with Cascade United Methodist today. Faith communities like Cascade are the heart of SW Atlanta — reminding us of the power of service.

We also ran into my dad’s frat brother, Mr. Owen Rogers, and heard stories of Morris Brown & Vietnam. Living history.

#TBT to my days with the Southwest Stingrays at the SW Atlanta YMCA 🏊🏿‍♂️— we went undefeated that year! From the pool to the Naval Academy, the Marines & now this campaign, Southwest Atlanta has been my foundation.

This race is about giving back to the community that raised me.

Growing up in Southwest Atlanta, I had mentors, programs, and a community that poured into me. Our youth deserve that same support today.

This campaign is about making sure our kids can stay, grow, and thrive right here at home — with a leader who listens to them and their dreams.

At a recent @etaomegaques chapter meeting, I ran into a former teacher of mine, Mr. Jolly, who taught at Fickett Elementary.

My favorite part of living in Southwest is being surrounded by those who’ve mentored me, raised me and taught me—my village.
