*Not where my keys are, or what I went upstairs for, obviously.

This one has been on the TBR huge-wobbly-pile™ since May 2023, but I've only just read it.
No huge traumas, no murders, nobody goes missing, nothing explodes.
Just the absolute joy of everyday life of two friends.
I honestly cannot recommend this highly enough.
Don't waste 18 months, read it now.

There's no point me telling you men are *****, you already know that.
There's not even much point in my apologising on behalf of the men that aren't *****, because it won't make any difference now.
But I do shake my head in despair at some of the ***** that are the same gender as me.

1st half - chronic. Nothing like the Blues of last season.
2nd half - much more like it. Only one team looked like winning it.

Needed five, eventually got two.
I should be celebrating that I'm going, but instead I'm mourning the missing three.
Fingers crossed we can sort something as people's plans change, but it left me with a sick feeling all day.

I'm not any sort of literature specialist, but I think perhaps this is partly because Harper Lee was a product of 1920s Alabama and may have found it difficult to give Tim a voice given her life experiences. Of course,Tom really wouldn't have a voice in those times and in those circumstances

Bought this by #SubhadraDas pretty much as soon as it came out but it has only just made its way to the top of the TBR pile.
Interesting and very readable. Definitely recommended.

Rapture or carousel?

I do like this idea, but it needs a small tweak.
The cost of the ingredients is only a part of the cost of the finished dish, so a 1/3 portion at 1/3 the price isn't sustainable.
Perhaps a 1/4 taster for 1/3 the price would be achievable?
I'd go for it, anyway.

A plate of food: a mashed potato combover, baked beans giving a lovely orange complexion and three sausages creating a miserable-looking visage. The whole thing laid out to resemble a certain well-known rapist.

In honour of the state visit of the Orange Manbaby to King Sausagefingers, tonight's tea was Sausage, Beans and Mash a la Trump.

It's fascinating watching the small boats getting up the Weir at Shrewsbury.
Like salmon leaping, they are.
