In the bio "Romney: A Reckoning," Mitt Romney says that none of his R Senate colleagues would vote to convict (1st impeachment) because they were afraid. Romney was paying $5,000/wk on security & most other senators couldn't do that.

Just a nit-pick here, but this isn't a filibuster since it's not in response to a bill, not an attempt to block a bill. It is a speech—an incredibly long, passionate, and well-organized speech.
