This is major. If you know anything about Shiloh/Erik's whereabouts for the last 13 years, please contact the Charlottesville Police Department.

Sage's family deserves closure. Her beloved grandmother has died, and her aunt was murdered by a serial killer. Help this family get the answers they need

Cville folks - does anyone have an updated list of current food pantries in the area. Not the food banks, but the food pantries that can be accessed as needed.
There is a little food pantry in front of the Presbyterian church on Angus Rd, Church of Our Savior on Rio has one, any more ideas?

Union work is hard and frustrating a lot of days, but we had two big wins today including the reduction of police officers from 4 to 2 and the reversal of a classist work day policy. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Rn 225 years ago, an enslaved blacksmith named Gabriel was planning a revolt against the "merchant class" of VA. He recruited through central VA & tidewater, even as far west as Cville. At night they fashioned old farm implements into swords & pikes after long working days being forcibly enslaved.

Digging up some stuff on local wildfires today & remembered theres a childs account of a large wildfire on Old Rag Mountain in the Columbia Speech Lab recordings from the early 1930s. Virginia really does have some remarkable accents, esp in the rural communities near the Chesapeake/mountain areas.

If you are a teacher K-12 and have a wish list for supplies for the school year for your classroom, please tag me so I can amplify your list. We used to do this on the old site and people usually responded very well.

PAYNE: U.Va.’s acquisition of the FEI directly harms the children of Charlottesville  The Department of Education rescinded its award to CCS and gave the FEI property to the University instead.

“The University’s intentional actions have directly harmed students in Charlottesville’s public schools. It is time for the University to enter into substantive conversations with City Hall and CCS to mitigate the damage done by the University.”

If UVA gets FEI instead of CCS, it’ll be the equivalent of taking tens of millions of dollars from the city.

Imagining looking at a camera with a straight face and saying that’s the sort of thing an “incredibly good neighbor” would do.

It’s gaslighting, pure and simple.
