I wanted to do some little tip sheets on quick-sketching people from life. So here you go! First, an introduction to my outline-centric approach -- I'll get into technique points later. (1/3)

What I notice is people are often starting out very driven, and then they become very caring. We have a culture which only lets you be one at a time, because of the big squeeze. So those who care, and those who are driven get pitted against eachother in a pit, for finite resources by those who care for neither, instead of helping eachother. As a result, they become disillusioned and jaded and cruel, and often become part of the neither too. It is like a big nothing, which consumes everything.
