I interviewed Leslie Allen in November 2023 about proposed cuts to branches of the Cumberland Public Libraries. Fortunately, those cuts didn't happen. Still, libraries are too often at risk of closures and cuts.

A small harvest of purple pole beans is shown on a furry ecru blanket. Trifono Violetto is an heirloom variety of pole bean and they are a really deep purple colour, but they turn green after cooking. Such fun! 💜
