Most of the "immigration" talk seems to be more about racism than nationality. I expect that when Farage introduces a British ICE that they will target brown people rather than middle aged white women like me....

But a part of me wonders about retiring early, selling up and getting out of here.

I celebrated my 60th with a solo 3-night trip in the middle of Scotland.

Came across this 'parked' car on today's walk into work. Thought it was someone about to pull out but nobody inside.

I met some pupils on the street doing a survey for their geography class and mentioned something like this but not as concise.

We adopted two half siblings and at some point we were talking and one used the word "mum" to refer to me and the other used it to refer to their birth mother.

I took revenge. Going downhill a forest gravel road at some speed, headwind. Deer standing on the road, looking the other way. I eventually braked a bit, squeak, and deer looked around and levitated up the opposite bank.

I do find myself back at uni. Where i can't find my way, and I can't even remember what course I'm doing.

My studio is around the corner from them but crucially a few meters higher so I didn't get flooded. Look out for their video, it was a bad one!

We have a campervan but no car. It's awkward to drive in cities and a pain to park which helps to direct us towards the various bikes (cargo, E, folding) and public transport. We have a car club membership but don't actually use it that often. The van transports bikes and cats unlike the car club.
