Just checking, it's now ok to flee your homeland, because you're afraid for your safety, and seek refuge in another Country?
Glad we've cleared that up. Let's hear no more about immigration and refugees then.

I think this could be worse, and US intervention in Iraq/Afghanistan really doesnโt fill me with confidence that it will accomplish much aside from furthering US interests.
Anyway, this has been an incoherent mess, so Iโm going to call it hereโฆ

I got both sides of this as Iโm half British, so got a lot of abuse, for want of a better term, for not being Arab enough, and for being white.
Itโs all an understandable backlash against over a century of imperialism, and Iโm guessing the narrativeโฆ

Thereโs a reason that a lot of Arabs still harbour resentment to the west, while also wanting toโฆ

My dad grew up in Bahrain as a British colony, he saw his โcousinsโ in Palestine have their land taken from them and given to European refugees, who subsequently slaughtered the natives with the wests blessingโฆ
โฆ before the revolution it was quite forward thinking, and progressive/liberal, I really hope it goes back to being that.
Heaven knows the middle east could use it.
But the last time the US meddled in Iran, things got worse. The entire Middle East is very cynical about the westโs motivesโฆ

I really hope that what happening right now leads to the regime being toppled and a return of Iran as bastion of culture. Its people have suffered for a lifetimeโฆ
