I'm considering how to redesign Lazuli's tail.... I do like it as is now but simplifying it a bit or at least making the patterns more symmetrical will probably be better in the long run

Doll update: they're not bald anymore and they got a new shirt + shoes!

Their choker spikes keep wanting to break off and I somehow lost one of the studs 😔 will need to repair later

Still need to get them new eyes and maybe soon dye them but I'm in the middle of moving soon so that's have to wait

Honestly it's funny looking back because last month I said I thought the new ref looked a bit off but now I think it looks great and the old one looks WAAAAY weirder than before lol

It wouldn't have been so bad if my intention wasn't for her to have a normal, human sized torso and very long tail. Old ref implies she's giant or a lot shorter than I intended when she's supposed to be really big for her species

On another note I can't stand to look at Lazuli's old ref because the anatomy is ABISMAL!!!! What was I thinking?! I'm way happier with the new one because now her tail is the right length and her arms aren't as freakishly long

Almost done with Lazuli's ref, I just need to finish some extra stuff on it ^^

I almost regret making her tail so complicated but it's pretty so it's worth the trouble :') she's my most detailed and complex character ever so I feel like she needs a lot on her ref

I got burnt out and had to take a long break, but now I'm very behind on updating my refs for artfight 😔
