This is a risk in all temperate apple growing regions. Countries, even as far south as Turkey, can lose crops to late frost. The more climate change weakens the jet stream, the more frequently this will happen. It's exactly why we (ad a human population) should never rely on one area for one food.

What an outright idiot.

I don't think it's just people who might, for example, criticize US foreign policy wrt Gaza they're targeting. Critizism of Trump, and his (imo) anti-American policies, highlighting of ICE behaviour etc., is likely to endanger your Visa. Pretty soon US citizens will face the same scrutiny.
