the problem with this is that the IEPA tariffs were unlawfully collected per the ruling and the tariffs that "replace" them cannot be made retroactive

also: doing sham "investigations" to get to a predetermined tariff outcome is handing plaintiffs preliminary injunctions like party favors.

Trump implies he will not refund tariffs that were declared illegal. He may have a basis for imposing similar tariffs, going forward, on new legal grounds. But the tariffs (many of them) imposed until now were illegal ... and should be paid back.

I fell down a rabbit hole many years ago on Twitter about the economics of Nevada’s legal brothels and I remember Sheri’s Ranch having particularly draconian management. I followed a woman who worked there who had a degree in law and was trying to push for some form of collective bargaining

so the workers can’t make enough to live on just through their contracted services but they’re also effectively prohibited from making any extra money on their own or building a client base. I think the house even takes a cut of tips, though I don’t remember. just total management exploitation
