It's about whether animals are *harmed* and farm labor is productive, meaningful work. whereas delivery drivers are in customer service which is inherently harmful to the human psyche, which means it *is* harmful to animals (humans) whereas farming is not

in fairness this guy probably isn't vegan, this is the vegan equivalent of the "you're just as much of an atheist as i am because you don't believe in any pagan gods"

i had several conversations where i was very careful not to say racism is bad when i was trying to convince them that racism is bad, after an early conversation where i did use the term "racist" when someone got xenophobic about african immigrants to france and it was not received super well

I'll grant that a lot of my male friends haven't stayed in touch with me or really invested too much in me overall, past a certain period of time, BUT the ones who did spend time and money on me did do so out of friendship
