There are approximately one zillion different anti-itch products on the market. Yet somehow, not a single one of them are as effective on a mosquito bite as 30 seconds with an ice pack.

They're much shorter than Sanderson's usual length but they are absolutely full length novels by industry standards. Of the four, Tress, Yumi, and Sunlit Man all exceed 100,000 words each. The only "short" one is Frugal Wizard, which at 77k is still akin to non-sf/f novel length.

It's locked out of reporting in Google Maps, but appears to be reportable from the basic search screen. Unless they've changed that over the course of the day.

So, I've been working on the European Portuguese module on a language app called Drops. It has a quiz mode that's designed to help you contextualize vocabulary, but sometimes you learn unexpected things. Like today I learned that "drinking" can be considered a hobby.

It's possible my spouse would like me to stop soon. But I have a 2,000 piece unicorn puzzle that's begging to be solved and a card table that's about 4 inches too narrow for it, so I'ma build a foldable puzzle surface out of felt and foam board (that may also be used for D&D stuff someday).

Continuing in this year's holiday season Build Stuff or Make Stuff Glow spree: this weekend I built a stuff AND made it glow!

I have days when I'm like, this scene already exists in my head. Why can't I just...zap it straight onto the page without all that tedious typing and trying to find the right words for all the feels and mental images? xD

My life has gotten a small butt measurable bit better since I trained the FB Reels algorithm to show me 90% dachshund videos. It doesn't negate all the absolute shit happening in the world right now, but it does help my blood pressure a little.

Sometimes my dreams manifest in musical format. This morning, I cannot for the life of me give you the melody or lyrics, but please enjoy knowing that this morning my subconscious rhapsodized about the wisdom of taping the bag of screws to the bedframe when taking it apart for a move.

I dunno. If we're playing by Good Omens rules, then it's only a matter of time before that Bob Seger transmogrifies into Best of Queen.
