I’m so sorry. We had some earlier but thankfully not too close. We have a dog that had horrendous noise phobia as a result of a neighbour’s firework. She is much better these days but it wouldn’t take much to regress her. 😬

If I hadn’t already had a picture of Perez in my head, I’d have said Dougie was brilliant casting. I really like him as an actor and he seems like a decent human. I’ve just (yesterday) started listening to the latest book, only to realise I hadn’t actually read the last one 🤷‍♀️🥴

I love it but some of the acting is awful. I love Douglas Henshaw but never understood why he was cast to play a dark curly-haired man with ‘a Mediterranean look’, which is how Perez is described in the books. His ancestors were thought to be Spanish sailors, shipwrecked off shore.

It’s that season. All hoping for Christmas sales, and using memoir rather than autobiography because someone has told publishers it sounds more intimate. I imagine Patti has some tales though!

Certainly as far as the crash goes, there may well be unresolved trauma. But I was wary of him before that. I can’t pin it to anything in particular, just that he seems to be a bit ‘blokey’ and brash. Also we don’t know much back story and a man of his age has a LOT of past. #TheArchers
