It was a mixed pub. The clientele were all one denomination, I was the other. She completely failed to inform me of the ‘complications’ of the Central Belt, obviously.

My sister and her husband lived in Glasgow and bought the pub. I moved and lived there for a while, and they gave me a job. They lived in Kinning Park at the time, Lorne Street just off the Paisley Road West. It was an ‘education’ that’s for sure. Lot more to this ongoing story 😂

I had Tom Baker sign my copy of ‘Doctor Who and the Sea Devils’ at the John Menzies in Dundee, back in ‘77 or ‘78. Only many years later I realised it was a Pertwee series and thought I should have chosen a different book.

I had no idea what the situation was, or was supposed to be because I was from Dundee, where no one cared. Walked right into a load of bollocks that made no sense to me.

*amazing how many folk in Glasgow had a spouse/granny/cousin/uncle ‘from’ Dundee.

I’m not interested in international football, only ever followed the domestic game, which is the heart and soul of football for me. Genuinely baffled though that at least half the countries taking part haven’t boycotted the games, given the fascist takeover of the USA. It’s a sham, and so is FIFA.
