The humanitarian in me asks, What will it take for us to understand that we can hate those who have committed atrocities AND still be able to find empathy for people we perceive as "enemies" but in actuality are non-combatants who are also suffering?

If you're protesting this weekend, know your rights when interacting with law enforcement, including immigration agents.

The big question is whether people will be able to apply for assistance when a disaster declaration is made - and whether Felon 47 will prohibit funds from being accessed in "blue" states.

The good news is that voluntary agencies active in disaster (VOADs) will continue to work with state and local emergency management agencies to assist people affected by the disaster.
