I write a blog giving you examples of good ttrpg layout you can steal for your own books. https://matthewkjandre.blogspot.com - I also sometimes write ttrpg adventures.

If you want to test it with your group, send me a DM on Bluesky and Iโll send you a free copy.
Oh interesting! I was unsure of Grimwild's dice pools as clocks before I ran it, but it worked perfectly for both myself as GM and the players. I'm excited to check this one out!

It took 4 years of on-and-off using a dating app to find somebody, but I've been with a girl I met on there for almost 6 years now. It can take a long time, and have bumps along the way, but it can work out!

Working on just one of these at a time is wild. I do 2 minutes of work and then have to sit for 2+ hours for various things to dry.
Buster Sword from FFVII Remake is coming along nicely though. Almost ready for final paint job (this picture was many stages of the process ago).
a how to guide for creating crossword dungeons. Step 1 - Find and Do, do the crossword. Step 2 - See Beyond, find the inspiring words and start to see the shape. Step 3 - Extrapolate, ditch words you dont like, create walls, you contol the dungeon. Step 4 - Draw the rest of the owl (make the dungeon from the inspiration). Step 5 - BE NOT AFRAID. Its just a dungeon created from a crossword, they wont always work. Useful tips: Metro for daily free crosswords. CrosswordSolver, for tricky clues. DungeonScrawl, for making maps. LootTheRoom - for more random ideas
A comment on itch reminded me of this idea for creating #TTRPG dungeons I had a while back. I still think its neat and I don't think I've actually shared it here on bsky.
So bsky.. meet Crossword Dungeons!
Do a crossword, use the answers and designs as inspiration for the rooms, get creative!
This sounds excellent and exciting! Pretty hard combo to pull off, but I'm incredibly interested to see if I gel with the mechanics!

No idea if it's your thing, but the new Coriolis actually looks really fun to play! Every party gets a bird with Bird Powers and Bird Energy.
I like the almost boardgame like procedures of the classic Free League style of game, and this is a return to that with Delves and such.
I'm going to make an effort the next game I play to run through a scene-setting checklist for every single area the players enter, so I can work out that muscle.
As a primarily improvisational GM, I'm often so focused on events and reactions that I forget to properly describe where the players are.
Do any #ttrpg folks have a checklist for describing a scene? I'm thinking of something like (in order):
1. Time
2. Weather
3. Hear/Scent/Touch (Pick 1 or 2)
4. Sight
+ Describing open air scenes top-to-bottom (focus on the surroundings), and inside scenes bottom-to-top (focus on characters within)
