It's a good, breezy read despite the subject matter. Incredibly frustrating though because Steven Levy, like all journalists apparently, refused to cite any goddamn thing in the entire book.

Randi alternatively claimed this tape was either altered by Byrd to defame him, or it was actually part of a police sting designed to entrap actual child predators.

He can't have it both ways, so seems to me Randi was just flailing for excuses after the tape was produced through discovery.
