The difference between the internet in 2005, and 2025 is the sheer number of people on the internet.

People haven't forgotten; they never learned either because they couldn't afford the internet when the web was young, or they were literally born after the algorithms began taking over.

Plus; bots.

It is 25°F outside at 9am, sunny and calm on the river. Our neighbor is ice-fishing from our dock, so my husband went to see if he's caught anything.

You really underestimate how many snotty-nosed kids at the park approach to ask "Can I pet your dog?" while already reaching for said dog.

If someone's dog comes over and drools on me, it is a good day. If someone's child came over and drooled on me, it is the worst day ever.

Being an adult is just doing the things you are supposed to do without anyone else telling you to do them.
