It's just that deep down they understand that they're so inexcusably evil that everyone has reason to hate them. And they use violence against those they disapprove of, so they assume others will, too.

You may also want to consider that there's a big difference between giving up and saying we should count on voting and wait patiently around to see if we have an election 10 months from now. That looks a lot like giving up to me.

But if you want to lay the whole crisis at the feet of voters, make it the ones who call themselves progressives and humanitarians but proudly helped Trump get re-elected to punish the DNC for Gaza, though they knew the people they pretended to care about would be far worse off under Trump.

Thanks for the lecture on what's happening in my own country. Seems you entirely missed my point. In 2020, when people recognized there was a crisis, record numbers of people waited in endless lines in the snow to vote. In 2024, they were "positive" and didn't.

"Being positive" got us here. Biden was elected & everyone breathed a sigh of relief and went back to the couch. I'm not at all sure we'll have the option of voting at all. If we do, the regime is already hard at work to prevent whole sectors from voting. And, of course, results can be manipulated.

The chances of meaningful elections in the US are declining every day.

A person can be smart and attractive and still be a ball of unmitigated evil.
