the world has filled with water and the seasons have stopped. storms are stronger and more unpredictable. the World As It Was is a distant memory. people must keep together now. “without a lighthouse, the world gets lost awfully fast.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

just finished following the love story of Red and Blue through countless strands of time. this book is as much poetry as it is prose. have you ever read a letter in tree rings, or in tea leaves swirling in a cup? “love is what we have, against time and death.” 3/5 ⭐️’s

if 2001: a space odyssey was about workplace dynamics, the ability of humans and humanoids to work together, and the effects of alien objects on employee morale. 3.5/5 ⭐️’s

this is a great twist on a story you’ve heard a million times before. when good stab meets the cat man, his life as a pikuni stops. the blackhorns must be protected from the napikwans. can good stab save them, or himself? terrible crimes were committed here. 3.5/5 ⭐️’s

“the child” questions everything, right until the end. why are we here? where are we? and what does it mean to be human? language and time only exist if we have other people to talk to and pass the time with. otherwise, it’s just a lonely, desolate plain ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

don’t judge a book by its cover! seriously, i almost didn’t read this series and i’m so glad i gave it a chance. finished book #7 and have to wait months for the next one. i’m sad it’s over (for now) and still obsessed with carl and donut. the dungeon will never be the same 💣

godsdamnit, this series is a helluva ride. it’s action-packed and funny and unexpectedly poignant. carl and donut are easy to root for. there’s aliens, monsters, dinosaurs, deranged AI, deities, greedy corporations, explosions, magic, and more! fun for everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

if you were stranded on an island inside of a bubble on one level of an underground dungeon that was part of an intergalactic survival game show, this is what it would be like. simple enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

took a risk with this one, and wow! whatta fun read so far. it follows carl and princess donut as they navigate an alien game show dungeon filled with horrifying creatures. it’s darkly funny and action-packed. couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to read book #2. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

the House is a labyrinth, filled with Statues and Tides that flood its Halls and Vestibules. an Albatross lives there, and so does Piranesi.

what a squirmy and squelchy time — this book was campy and gross. was it the scariest read? no. also, a bit predictable. very similar to stephen king’s “dreamcatcher.” but i was rooting for boy scout troop 52 the whole time. ⭐️⭐️

if something disappears and no one remembers it, did it ever exist? the memory police are watching you, as long as you’re around. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

humans are the new animals. this book was hard to digest, but captivating. gross, horrific, atrocious. not sure i’d recommend it for anyone with a weak stomach. iykyk. but i enjoyed it, as much as someone can. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

finished the earthsea series today. very sad to have to say goodbye to sparrowhawk, tenar, and all of the wizards, dragons, kings, and queens of earthsea. ursula is a master and has proven that fantasy is for everyone. beautiful. can’t recommend these books enough. ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

watched coherence, the substance, and men with a buncha friends for my birthday and it was spooky and gross and so so fun. gotta do more movie nights with buds.

just finished the patternist series! (1st book not pictured) these books span thousands of years and tell the story of some immortal(?) beings who alter the trajectory of mankind. also aliens. good stuff! if you’re looking for some weird cool sci-fi, this is it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
