Yeah in theory everything belongs to you both, but if you keep separate bank accounts for your fun money you just have a bit more to play with

As someone who records audio for a living, lavs and booms sound great for primarily video content, you hear the space, context. Podcasts are intended to be audio first, you want voices not spaces.

Think of it more like recording vocals - you wouldn’t use a lav for that.
