I love this. We were in Iceland a while back and they turned the streets lights off in the city so we could get a better view. They were spectacular. Can’t wait to visit again as it’s a truly beautiful place.

Most of the time I post the typical type of photos I take but every now and then our #cat makes an appearance. Cheeky #kitty must have realized I’d taken his photo running around 😹

The clockhouse is an iconic Halifax photo that I’m still trying to figure out the best place on the road and focal length and time of day for the photo. I‘ll get there someday.

I feel wide angle lenses are the most challenging so every now and then that’s all I take out with me trying to get better. A long way from perfect but I think it’s ok.

Another 100mm macro shot. Tried a different aspect ratio with these. Both are exactly the same image except ones convert to b&w. I liked the #icicles and was trying to make it work at 100mm.

Tufts cove power station chimney stacks

Part of the #halifax skyline, these are the chimneys of the tufts cove power station. I’d found a spot where I planned to try and get the whole station but there was a ship tied up on the waterfront so I could only get the stacks.

I’d say that was a good decision. Right now my setup is pretty much smooth sailing. My older canon lenses work just as well (if not better) on the new body. The only thing that tends to cause problems is me messing up the settings as there’s so much these can do.
