Even absent a gross decrease in price, it’s still valuable if we can slow the rise in the cost of housing to beneath the median rise in income, would still help make housing more affordable for people

Agreed. The cost per service is higher in the GSD so even equalized rates for consistent services would likely remain a net fiscal transfer from the USD to GSD

If we’re serious about the issue, its critical that we build both more homes and more types of homes for Nashvillians in order to reign in costs, stop forcing our most vulnerable residents into streets, and tackle our cost of living crisis.

The only statistically significant predictor of differential homeless rates is housing costs, based on the supply and demand of housing.
