Gardeners call for more help, less bureaucracy in battle against invasive plants | CBC News Invasives are plaguing community gardens in Ottawa, and it's representative of a citywide problem, according to Coun. Marty Carr. She believes mobilizing volunteers is the answer.

I spoke to a few gardeners -- of many across the city -- who are dealing with encroaching invasive species. Some are volunteering to rip them out of city land, and Councillor Carr thinks the city should have a better program to support them.
