06.12.2024 14:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0finally got a good 3d print!
the key was changing the settings for the supports so the software would generate good supports for me
it was kind of annoying to take the supports off the bottom but it turned out really good so i'm happy with it
creatily ender 3 SE
the setup process was SUPER easy but i forgot to flip some hidden switch so it took me a bit to figure that out haha
really easy to use though, takes care of a ton of calibration stuff automatically
honestly used a random file i alr had modeled
it ended up SUPPERRR thin and basically unraveled when i took it off the bed
good learning though, figured out how to use the software, upload files to the printer, etc
3D printer up and running!!!
gonna print something today!
LMAOO so true
i have like 1 song i'm actually proud of so that's the only sonf i actually go back to haha
chase scene energy
running across rooftops parkour type scene
and then the runner is cornered so he he stops to look at who's chasing him and look at each other to build suspense and they start fighting on the beat drop
every once in a while i go back to it with fresh ears and realize it sounds a little worse than i remember it being when i first recorded it ๐ญ๐ญ
05.12.2024 01:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1that would be a cool album / ep name
def fits this type of music too
sounds like a rhythm games menu theme.. or any upbest game menu theme
05.12.2024 00:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0this is so rhythmic i love it
rlly like that shaker / tambourine sound in the percussion .? not sure exactly what it is but it makes me feel like i'm being spun in circles yk
for now ima upload the code to arduino using my normal computer, and still try to do serial comms with raspi and pray it works
if it doesn't i have a lot of troubleshooting documentation to read
there's a ros program which i need running on my pi, as well as an program running on my arduino
the ros library will talk to arduino over serial usb
issue is if i can't access the arduino from my pi, not sure if serial comms will work
yesterday i uploaded a simple blink program to my arduino nano
all it did was blink the built in LED on the arduino in a specific pattern
couldn't get it to work from my rasp pi though, suspect it has sm to do with drivers or permissions
see thread for more

performing this piece on friday at the school concert
will also be playing synth for a high school band consisting of a few friends

btw you can sell it and get like some % of revenue of the company and make like a FREAK ton if the company is successful
04.12.2024 02:53 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0sounds like what people do when they sell a patent
do some rsrch, come up with an innovation -> get it patented / patent pending -> sell patent to a big company who has the manufacturing / distribution facilities
ofc inventing/innovating something new is hard so most ppl don't do this
i use medium for writing short articles and substack for my monthly updates
not sure if this applies to what ur doing but could be useful
i don't see building in public as a way to get ppl to sign up for my product
that said i'm not building a product, just building for fun
point for me is to show off what i've made, maybe build a following and connect with ppl who share interests
privilege i have to do school and also work on my own passion projects
04.12.2024 02:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Just made a yt vid abt the process of setting up and powering my raspberry pi!
check it out here: youtu.be/CZyX-p6fLZQ?...
this is just the first step so subscribe / follow to check out the really interesting stuff coming up

cool!
I'm building a 3d printed lunar rover and this is gonna be the basic powering system
making music lwk changes how ur brain thinks bc i be analyzing beats n shit and the mixing on songs now
30.11.2024 04:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0technically any battery can short circuit
a short circuit is when there's a path from the positive to negative end of the battery with NO resistance. the current travels super fast through the wire and usually ๐ฅ๐ฅ
if you have something in between (any electronic device) it slows the current down
Nahh it's a pretty small battery
what you would use for an RC car
i could probably use a car battery for this and it might work the same .? all my car batteries are being used to power cars at the moment lol
a fuse is for safety. If something goes wrong and a short circuit happens, the fuse burns and the circuit is broken
this stops your wires from catching on fire when too much current goes through, bc your fuse burns out first
the switch is just there bc it's useful. it's helpful to be able to cut power to the whole system without unplugging the battery. works just like a switch on any other device
29.11.2024 02:59 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0HAHAHA ok i gotchu
so basically i have a battery, and i'm trying to power a raspberry pi (a hobby robotics computer)
the battery has 12 volts of power, but the pi only needs 5 volts of power
directly powering it would fry the circuits
the buck converter "converts" the 12 volts to 5 volts
GNX is fire. worth a few relistens
