I am pleased to announce that I have learned almost the entire baseline of Thunderstruck by AC/DC this afternoon and can now play the main riff on bass guitar like a pro.

Learning such a massive hit is truly an accomplishment for a beginning student on any musical instrument. I would like to thank-

Been having time to work on bass guitar scales and I can say, I can hear the definite improvement in being able to get my hand to hit notes, with just 20-30 minutes spread out over afternoons.

Never let anyone tell you practicing scales is useless and boring.

Scales are usually boring, but before you even get to boring, they're frustrating, because hands (like mine) don't normally operate that way.

Today's bass 🎸practice: C and G scales, with a little easy bass line (Stand By Me) as a treat.

Helps keep it interesting.

I've used penetrating oil on screws in unlike metals before, and it was surprisingly effective. My truck's mirror extension arms are aluminum with a steel set screw and it loosened that right up after not budging since probably the late 1990s. A week later, they were seized up again 😂
