Incredibly cursed shiny spawn (below the satellite dish). The guard rail protects it from long distance sniping. I can't get into a safe distance to lock onto it at all. Targeting it from the ground is a no go, the building is too high up for me to target it.

Starting from Etrian Odyssey Untold, there is an oversight where if infliction rates get too high (surpassing 3276.7%), they'll go into the negatives instead and will miss.

This is most visible in EO2U as both you and some bosses have some very overkill rates. Not so much in the other games though.

Yeah I have no idea what happened there. At least you're taking 15% less damage so it is ultimately easier.

Later games fixed this by just having a separate set of lowered stats used for enemies in Casual instead of applying these multipliers.

Did you know that the Casual difficulty mode of 7th Dragon 2020 was bugged?

How it functions is simple.

-Total EXP and SP payouts are multiplied by 1.05.
-Enemy HP is multiplied by 0.85.
-Damage is multiplied by 0.85. All damage. Including yours. effectively negating the HP cut benefit.

Also yeah related to the boss you're talking about I was really surprised when I saw the mountains of complaints about it and even the minions when it's like, the Beastfly can be baited into killing them for you? I abused that for all its worth to get through the fight more easily.

I think there's also an unfortunate trend where some players think any form of failure is really bad and that it's never okay to die/game over/whatever the failure equivalent is in that game more than X times or ever at all, causing them to label things as super difficult when it's normal to do so.

Another note, enemies in Silksong appear to have a damage resistance system of some kind, which seems to vary per enemy. No idea on the specifics of these, but it may explain why it can feel like Needle upgrades feel a bit weird (which has the same base damage values as the Knight's Nail.) (2/?)

Looked a bit into tool damage in Silksong by messing around with the game's memory. With 3 needle upgrades (I'm fairly sure this affects tool damage) as well as all 4 crafting kits, this is what I got for most of em (wasn't able to get 2 of the tools yet), so spoilers inbound, you were warned. It’s not like how crits function in 7th Dragon DS from what I’ve been hearing. Crits only affect normal attacks but also reduce the defense stat by 30% for that hit. In practice that ends up being much less than a 30% damage boost with how low enemy defense stats are In this game.

A good portion of complaints about Nintendo nowadays I’ve seen were trying to basically glaze over their past actions to prop up their points, which kinda drove me batty to see. That video was a much refreshing take to witness.

Supposedly the Rogue's Triple Kiss skill in 7th Dragon can randomly get a 30% damage boost. Anyone got any documented cases of this? No matter how much I tried, I couldn't get it to happen, and looking into the game's code didn't turn up anything here.
