This is probably my longest single sleep time that wasn't immediately following a surgery, or during a serious acute illness. I think that after a certain point without food or water, my body just goes, 'Clearly you are dying and thus need to sleep MORE' 🙃

...I grabbed the huge mason jar that I use for kumihimo and tried to trap it but at the last second it ran into the pile again. Mallaidh disturbed enough things that it ran over to me AGAIN, and when I instinctively tried to move away from it, I fell backward off of the bed and onto a shelf...

...When she dropped it, it tried to hide under my nightgown, and Bill came running when I screamed and jumped off the bed, still half-asleep. It hid under my pile of craft supplies. A minute later, I saw it crawl onto the edge of the bed and just sit there...

1 of our fosters had a ruptured abscess, so they went to the shelter yesterday to wait for the vet today. They have FeLV - a virus that acts like leukemia [explains what happened to poor little Soïg]. Now they're going to a medical foster before hopefully recovering enough to go to a rescue...(1/2)

Taking a photo of anything when you have a cat: 😸 Even though there are no foodstuffs here that interest her, Mallaidh still needs to check both of my hands, just in case, because she knows that I was just in the kitchen... 😂

...*My* guess is that the sutures that I developed an allergy to didn't dissolve all of the way, so I'm having a 24/7 allergic reaction. 😬 If so, not really sure what we're supposed to do about that... 🤷‍♀️

P.s. I'm still not completely healed internally: one of the issues being that the regrowing nerves - doc's best guess - are causing one of the incision sites on my belly to itch daily, sometimes with a visible rash...

Happy Yeeterus Day to me! 🤣 It's been 1 year since I yeeted my useless uterus (i.e. had a hysterectomy) & my spouse brought me this "lovely" cake. 🤭 There were… issues with the decorating. 😆 It's supposed to be my unhappy removed organs: R ovary, cervix, uterus, & L Fallopian tube flipping me off 🖕😝

...Today. The stem on the fairy washboard is almost 14 inches (34.3 cm) - I couldn't get both the plant and the stem in focus at the same time! 🙃 [That one also has a pup/chick.]

...Today. The Yamatomini used to have more defined cinched-in portions correlating to each summer when its growing would slow down [before the lower leaves began dying recently and the pups/chicks popped up]

...The Haworthiopsis limifolia var. striata "fairy washboard" was a gift from my mother to my husband Bill in Aug '23 [since he likes skulls] and I switched it from the white skull to the copper one because I wanted my Pachyveria "powder puff" to live in the white one 😝
