I understand why they have the model, but every dollar helps during game development. Especially for those that just want to support them any way they can.

It’s not the ideal model that a game dev should feel forced to try out, so I’m just providing other options

Not to mention, Kickstarter isn’t a platform necessarily meant for gaming.
As a gamer, I don’t casually view projects on Kickstarter.

I’d be more inclined to check out and support projects that were on sites dedicated to gaming.

That’s my option of course.
But what are your thoughts?

My goal is to help at least 1 dev get their project funded before the end of the year.

Less than 1% of the 22k+ video game projects listed on Kickstarter receive funding.

I get the model, but that doesn’t mean that it’s right way for devs.
