I would pay a boatload of money for someone to teach my corgi Clyde or Claudia’s corgi Gracie to do this. But I think only Gracie would be adventurous enough to take to it

W.E.B. Du Bois on Robert E. Lee:

β€œEither he knew what slavery meant when he helped maim and murder thousands in its defense, or he did not. If he did not he was a fool. If he did, Robert Lee was a traitor and a rebel–not indeed to his country, but to humanity and humanity’s God.”

This happened in my town. The Albemarle County Sheriff's department is responsible for security, and when I've been in court (for jury duty and as a civil witness) armed sheriff's deputies controlled the entrance, including screening for weapons. Conclusion: the sheriffs let these guys in.

If businesses see tariffs as high and permanent, then moving production to the US might become a better way to serve the (huge) US market. But if this will only happen if the tariffs are seen as permanent... 2/n
